Physical
Educators are finding that technology can enhance productivity,
communication, research and learning. One of the best sources
to keep physical educators up-to-date on current trends in using
technology is: Online
Technology Newsletter - Physical Education K-12 which
is written and published by Bonnie Mohnsen.
John
Williams

specialist at Ayden

ideas on classroom setups, equipment, and links to developmentally
appropriate sites.
PE-News

TrackStar
TrackStar is a free service that helps instructors
organize and annotate Web sites (URLs) into lessons.
You
can find a track by searching by keyword, author, or themes and standards.
Or, you can make or edit a track, make a quiz for your track, or build
a web page for you track. This means that you can create your own
curriculum web page that guides your students to the web pages of your
choice. In addition to the web page information, you may ask questions
appropriate to that web site and assess student learning.
The
TrackStar tutorial helps you find a track, preplan a track, make a track,
or edit a track.
Additionally,
TrackStar has many excellent lessons that have already been developed.
For example by using the keyword "fitness" there were 232 lessons
developed with titles such as nutrition, healthy heart, jump roping, locomotor
skills, healthy nervous system, etc.
Prism
A project from Missouri which supports disciplinary teams working on curriculum
revision and technology integration has excellent tutorials.
Well
actually we think everyone would enjoy seeing a reduction in unnecessary
email. How can we do this? Easy! Start posting questions to the PE-Forum
and use email to invite comments ON THE FORUM rather than to everyone
on the email list! The PE-Forum
is easy-to-use once you complete a first time registration. Check
it out!
