Politics . . .ugh!
Every time you think things are working out just right, something always happens... politics. For some reason we can't get away from politics. I am surprised that there isn't a Murphy's Law about politics.
Politics invade every aspect of our lives, sometimes more than other times, but it always becomes a factor. Why do I start with such a negative tone...have you heard about the PEP bill? Yes, that is right...PEP is the bill that would have funded the improvement of Physical Education to the tune of 400 million dollars, with 5 million this year.
Well, it is currently in jeopardy of not being funded. If you want to know more, look at the news section and read a statement from Judy Young. If you want to see politics work positively for Physical Education, contact your legislators today. It would appear that there are some politicians who need some encouragement to holdfast and fund the PEP bill. Let's do our part to use politics to our benefit!

What It Means to Be Adopted
Teacher Debbie Moon's first graders were discussing a picture of a family. One little boy in the picture had a different color hair than the other family members. One child suggested that he was adopted and a little girl named Jocelynn Jay said, "I know all about adoptions because I was adopted." "What does it mean to be adopted?" asked another child. "It means," said Jocelynn, "that you grew in your mommy's heart instead of her tummy."
