 Boundless Playgrounds

www.boundlessplaygrounds.org/

The site for Boundless Playgrounds is fantastic! Information is provided about this non-profit organization whose mission is to help communities develop 'fully integrated universally accessible playgrounds'.  The homepage identifies 'Breaking News'  about boundless playgrounds across the country as well as updates to the site itself. A list of site sponsors is also provided.

Additional areas in this site include the following:

1. About - This section highlights the mission statement, specific services offered by the organization, and some basic 'what & why' information.

2. News & Information- Press coverage of various projects is provided. Additionally, a need statement & standards for boundless playgrounds are highlighted. A wonderful photo gallery of children playing in boundless playgrounds is available.

3. Stories- A section highlighting completed playgrounds in 19 states. Also, a section for 'playgrounds in development'. Perhaps my most favorite section, inspiring stories, highlights the personal touch of having a boundless plaground built in a community.

4. Giving- A variety of methods one can provide financial support to the organization (e.g., cash, securities, bequests, annuities).

5. Intiatives- Look here to learn about various state intiatives to seek funding and support from local, state, and national governing bodies for boundless playgrounds. Perhaps an idea for your own intiative?!!

6. Contacts-Methods to contact the organization. A staff photo is provided as well as individual bios and e-mail addresses.
