For Grades K-8

Description: Each year we look for ways to make our physical education program better. Here is a suggestion that can be used for all grade levels:

Fitness Record Board: We have kept fitness records for many years. Our record board looked very traditional, with names and numbers recorded neatly in rows. This board went largely unnoticed by most students and adults. To spice it up, we decided to put photographs next to the names.

Each student who established a new fitness record in our school brought in a school picture to be placed next to their name and record. This gave our board instant identity and we found that many students stopped to look at the board. It's a common sight to see parents and adult visitors stopping to check-out our board. Give it a try!
