Healthy Hearts for Kids is a really exciting web-based instructional
model that is currently being tried out in West Virginia and New
York State. It is essentially an instructional unit of study about
cardiovascular health which is delivered via the internet. The program
has thus far been developed for Grades 4-5 and currently the developers
are looking into creating modules for other grades. Should you be

An Achievement Based Curriculum (ABC)was another interesting
presentation pertaining to the utilization of an ABC model which
is a logical, step by step process that integrates program planning,
assessing, implementation, teaching and evaluation. Check out the

Beyond Activities: Learning Experiences to Support
the National Physical Education Standards is much more than just
a collection of activities. This two-volume set is a collection
of practical “learning experiences,” each with a specific
learning focus. In addition to the applicable standard, you get
suggested teaching strategy, cues for instruction, practice activities,
a culminating activity, and assessment ideas.
"Moving
into the Future" is in it's second edition. Since 1995,
Standards in PE have been vital guidelines to help develop curricula
