Some years ago Daryl Siedentop of the Ohio State University, and a leading authority on public school physical education, suggested that high school PE faced the threat of extinction.
Since then, we have witnessed a decline in required secondary PE, and in some states the total elimination of a PE graduation requirement.
PELINKS4U would like to learn more about the status of high school PE in the USA. Please send us stories of programs that continue to thrive, and also news about program eliminations. We'll share what we learn in a future issue. Thanks. |
